The Peaks of the Balkans: top destination for foreign and local adventure lovers.

  The Peaks of the Balkans is a hiking trail that covers three countries, Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania. This trail attracs many tourists that are in love with hiking and want to see new places, meet new people and see different cultures. Not only that they seek the beautiful sceneries but also get to know the culture of the people that live in these majestic mountains. Undoubtedly, staying in nature is a wonderful thing, however if you would have to stay for 8 days, without a doubt, that's when the magic kicks in. We were for 8 days in the most beautiful parts of the accursed mountains together with people who later not only became friends with us but also we created a bond that we would never forget. Wonderful Hajla.

Sunday was a very beautiful day to go hiking since spring began with 21st of March. The weather was perfect, it was sunny and the birds were tweeting. Rugova Mountains are one of the best destinations of Kosova and people love this place each time they visit it. I am going to tell you about our adventure that we had at Hajla peak.   We aimed for Peja from 7 am  especially we stopped at ETC at 9:30 am which is a big super marked, so we stopped there in order to buy some food. We continued moving towards Pepaj a village hidden in the beautiful forest of Rugova mountains. The village is not so far away from Peja and can be visited by a car or a truck easily. At 10 am we arrived at the last stop in order to go to Pepaj but the bus couldn't continue further due to a small bridge so we had to get out and pack our backpacks and start moving. The Mountain Hut hidden in the forest: Kopana Voda.

Buljec Peak. It was the 10th of March, a fine Sunday morning, you open the window and what do you see is the great Sharr mountains, they were looking remarkable as ever. I was preparing for yesterday's hike. We were going to Pisha e Madhe or Kopana Voda in Prizeren. After we started from Prishtina we made our first stop at Jora Center which is in Komoran, we bought food and something to drink. The weather was sunny and clear, I was with Ismet, he lives a very healthy life, he was eating pumpkin seeds and offered me some too, they were delicious. Continuing our journey of joy, the road was dividing from the distance two huge mountains, Pashtrik and Koritnik. They are so astonishing and mystic mountains. Later on, we went to pick the hikers from Prizeren up. Adventurous day at Kunora summit.

Kunora Summit. A great saying of Reinhold Messner always triggers my heart for more adventures. "The wonderful things in life are the things you do, not the things you have". It was a calm Sunday morning, the sun was hiding somewhere in the clouds. We chose to go hiking with Hiking Njeri, people started to come at the meeting point which was Bukatore in the Sunny Hill. The third of March was going to be a fantastic day. We started from Bukatore with a  double-decker bus, and we were heading to Gjakova. During that time we had so much fun in there, and later we stopped in a supermarket called Nora Market in Klina in order to buy food and water for our hiking trip. Fantastic hike to Black Rock 2,536 m of Brezovica for Kosova's 11th independence jubilee.

Happy hikers celebrating Kosova's 11th Independence anniversary. It was truly a super Sunday morning here in Prishtina. We as usually wanted to go hiking. We wanted to go to Brezovica and from there to hike up the Black Rock peak which the altitude reaches of 2,536 M high. What's more special about this Sunday morning, it was the 17th of February which means it's the 11th anniversary of Kosova's independence. With this purpose in mind, together with Hiking Njeri we kicked of from Sunny Hill (Bregu i Diellit) from 7 am in the morning and started our great adventure. Piribreg peak right in the distance.  After a long way, going through Ferizaj and stopping at Eli-Ab supermarket, we finally headed for the village called Sterpce and eventually arrived at Brezovica around 9 am. Summit of Dramodol 2,155 M It is the 10th February, a beautiful Sunday morning, what's the best thing in the morning when you have to get up and you know that you are going to spend e fantastic day in the mountains with Hiking Njeri. It has been a long time since we went together with Ben Njeri to hiking adventures, so he decided to kick off the hiking season of 2019 for Hiking Njeri and Kosova Hiking Trips with huge positive energy and plenty of amazing nature lovers. An unexpected journey from Valbona valley to Theth, in the Albanian Alps.

It was the 27th of June of 2018, a rainy day, I was staying at my apartment and suddenly I received a message on Facebook and I opened it and it was Rinor. "Do you want to come with me on an adventure?" said Rinor. "Where and when?" I replied. "Tomorrow we go hiking from Valbona to Theth ." said Rinor.  I was for a second shocked I didn't know what to say and I said, "of course man". I asked him how do we want to get there because it was obvious that neither of us hadn't cars. We decided to go and suddenly two more wanted to come with us. It was Berna with Ilir which they were eagerly waiting for that. And so it began the unknown adventure. Winter attempt to the mystic Luboten.

The final ascent to the peak, January 13, 2019 Luboten or otherwise called Ljuboten, a fantastic steep mountain known as the king of the Sharr mountains. It is a unique mountain and the peak is so special that you can see it from many cities of Kosovo and from Macedonia. The Sharr mountain range lies in the border between Kosovo and Macedonia and are over 100km long which they end in Radika at Vraca e Vogel 2538m.  I always wanted to do this mountain in winter even though I have summited it before but I wanted to feel the mountain when it is in it's most wild time.  It is the 13th of January, Sunday and me with Shpendi, Laureat decided to go hiking and suddenly in that cold morning we saw Genti and Engjell with his brother Blendi.
